Super Saturday

City Fest

What a busy Saturday! We woke up and headed out to City Fest (on the way we picked up Hardee's biscuits). The weather was cloudy which was perfect for strolling around outside. There were arts and crafts vendors, a lumberjack and lots of food. Around lunchtime, we headed to the lake to visit Will's parents. We enjoyed delicious hamburgers off the grill and William took his first boat ride. He absolutely loved it, although by the end of the day he was so exhausted. He slept the entire way back to Auburn. And today I noticed that tooth #2 is coming in on the bottom. I was beginning to think that he was going to be a one-tooth little boy. Enjoy the pictures!

Yard Work: Part 2

So, now we are busy working on our front flower bed. The landscaper replaced the plants twice, and they have died both times (they didn't fix the drainage issue, so of course plants continue to die). After buying 40 bags of topsoil, Will and I hope that we have fixed the drainage problem. We've been busy planting roses and gardenias this week and hopefully we will be finished after getting a tree today. Here here are a few pics of William & Bella "helping out."

Supper Club Fun

Tonight, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the home of David & Paige Kahn. William enjoyed eating my rice and rolls. He also had fun playing with his friends: Vivian Myers, Luke Donaldson, Sarah Beth Kahn & Ali Roberts.

Thanks Sister!

My sweet sister Alexis designed a new header for my blog and I love it. I am sure we will keep changing it now that we know how. It is kind of addicting. Anyway...I just wanted to tell her thanks for all of her hard work today!

New PJs Please

This was too cute not to post. I took this while William was asleep in his carseat. I think that it is about time to invest in some new pajamas for this little boy.

I've Been Tagged

So as it goes, my friend Molly Foster tagged me. And per the rules of the game you guys have to read a few things about me. I sure hope you enjoy! Read all the way to the end of the post to find out if you've been tagged, my friends!

What Was I Doing Ten Years Ago?
I was a sophomore at Auburn University earning a degree in Public Relations. I was involved in Chi Omega Sorority, Diamond Dolls (Molly-this is where we first met), modeling board and hanging out with a boy named Will Barron. I lived in a duplex on Sara Street with Britney Colagross (an AOPI). Will and I had been dating for two years. He lived in the duplex next door to us. A tornado came through our neighborhood that year and one person died. The windows in our duplex were blown out and my car was hit by a tree. I really thought that I was going to die. I think I also watched a Wedding Story everyday.

Five Things on My To-Do List Today:
1. Walk
2. Buy a Birthday and Wedding gift

2. Picking at my finger nails
3. Not sitting still- I feel like I always have to be doing something
4. Not always eating very healthy
5. Spending too much time reading blogs!

Five Places I Have Lived: (these are places Will and I have lived since we got married)

Lexie's Landscape Project

This past weekend William, my mom and I all headed up to B-ham to visit Aunt Lexie. Our mission: to completely re-landscape her front yard. I tried to be professional and even had everything drawn to scale when we arrived. Thursday night, Alexis and I dug up grass where the new beds would be. We did as much as possible, since the weather predicted storms on Friday. Friday morning my thighs were feeling the burn. Friday afternoon when Alexis got off work, we rushed to buy plants and somehow managed to get them all in the ground just as a few raindrops started falling. We hurridly put down pine straw and when we were almost finished the bottom fell out. It started storming and even hailed! What perfect timing. Luckily, we didn't even need to water. God took care of that for us! Here are some before and after pics. Check out Aunt Lexie's blog for additional pics...

What a week!

Will went to The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA from Monday-Wednesday. Then William, my mom and I all left on Thursday for B-ham and just got back today. We went to help my sister, Alexis, landscape her front yard. More pictures to come from that soon. And now I just read that Molly tagged me to tell a little bit about myself on my blog (that will come this week too). But for now, here are a few pictures from the Masters and the loot that Will brought back for me and William!

William's First Vacation

We joined my family this past weekend on a mini-vacation to Gatlinburg. We had a wonderful time! Of course, William was the center of attention (along with his second cousin, Lillianna). I don't think he ever had to play by himself the entire time. We enjoyed some wonderful food and company. William experienced his first table food when he helped me eat my chocolate chip pancakes at the Pancake Pantry. One of Will's favorite shows growing up was the Dukes of Hazzard, so we had to stop by Cooter's Garage to see the General Lee. William also got a bumper sticker for his car. By the end of the trip, we had created some memories that will last a lifetime. A few of the funny ones were, Will telling our waiter at Bubba Gumps that it was Alexis' birthday (they made her stand in a chair and "shake her booty"). It was not her birthday! We also went on a "mullet" hunt the last night along the downtown strip.(Of course, William and Lillianna did not participate. They were enjoying their grandmothers back at the chalet.) I did an entire mullet slideshow for your enjoyment. These pictures don't do the mullets justice, because it was dark and we were in a moving vehicle. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics!
