and let William wear "big boy" clothes tonight to the basketball game per Daddy's request. Someone (who will remain nameless) gave them to William for Christmas. I have to admit, he looks quite handsome in them. However, the smocked clothing is not getting packed up anytime soon!

Happy 8 month birthday...
sweet Ava ("Addie") girl! You are getting to be a little lady instead of a little baby. You love to sit and play and are trying to crawl, but can't quite figure it out yet. You have been sleeping through the night since you were 5 1/2 months old. Your bottom two teeth came in at 6 1/2 months and your top two teeth just came in at 7 1/2 months. You are drooling like crazy! You love your brother, and he can make you laugh like none of us can. You light up with a huge smile when your Daddy talks to you. You will try to eat anything we give you. We love you so very much!

Hey Santa...
we have both been really good this year! We are counting the days until you come and see us. I (William) want a new broom for Christmas and Ava ("Addie girl") doesn't care what you bring. Be safe and tell Rudolph hello for us. We've been singing about him and baby Jesus.
Love, William & Ava

Fa la la la la...

Tuesday, we enjoyed a sweet little Christmas program performed by lots of 2-year-olds. We have been practicing the songs at home for weeks and William would just sing and dance and put on a show. However, when the big day arrived Tuesday, my sweet little boy just chewed on his shirt sleeve the ENTIRE time! I think he must have had a little stage fright!!! He sure was cute anyway. We then joined him and his class for Jesus' "birthday party." Ava sure enjoyed herself and played the entire time. We can't wait for next year!

Uh Oh...
Ava is trying some new tricks (double ear infection and all), like getting up on all fours! I know what that means...crawling will be in our near future.

Thankful Thoughts
We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. It started off with the heartbreaking Iron Bowl (which we should have won!). Will and I graciously sat beside my Dad and brother-in-law, who are big Alabama fans. We then hosted Thanksgiving lunch on Saturday with my family which included Kat's famous low country boil! And then on Sunday we dedicated Ava to our precious Lord and Savior! What a special day for us, and we enjoyed spending time with all of our family who came to share this day with us.
