3 + 1 = IV

For those of you who don't know, William's full name is William Rodney Barron IV. He follows in the footsteps of three wonderful men...Rodney (Granddaddy), Bill (Beep Beep) and Will (Dad). This past Friday was a wonderful day that I hope William never forgets. Not only was he able to meet his great-grandfather for the first time, but we had all four men together at our home! What a special day!!!

Fear the Thumb?!?!?

For most of us Auburn fans, "Fear the Thumb" is something we relish.
But as a new mom, I have a new motto: "Embrace the Thumb!" William recently decided that sucking his thumb was much more enjoyable than his pacifier. At first, I tried to persuade him that the pacifier was the much better option. But...that was before the thumb allowed him to sleep through the night! That's right...William slept through the night for the first time last night. Will and I woke at 7 a.m. this morning to utter disbelief. I know it may never happen again, but for now I am the proud mother of a child who has slept through the night. I have wanted to say that for such a long time. So, for now we are embracing the thumb!

Meet Bella...

Since most of our blogs will feature our newest blessing, William, I felt a little guilty for not mentioning our other child, Bella. She is our golden retriever, who will be 4-years-old in December. She enjoys swimming (pools or lakes are fine with her) and fetching rocks in the woods (yes...that is rocks, not balls). Bella is a wonderful big sister to William. She loves to lick him when mom and dad are not watching. William can't quite figure out who this blond is living in our house.

Happy Hall-AU-ween!

William attended his first party this past Sunday. It was a Halloween party hosted by the Muncies and Fites. There were lions and tigers and bears...oh my! Of course, William was an Auburn tiger. Being one of the youngest children at the party, mom had to hold William for the pictures. We had so much fun, and we wanted to share a few pictures with all of you!
